Parent Resources

Important policies and guidance for a smooth fall session.

Makeup Policy

Report an absence through the Parent Portal before class begins. Staff reviews absences manually, and eligibility may take up to 72 hours after the missed class to appear.

A maximum of two makeups is allowed. Each makeup expires one month after the absence or January 24, 2027β€”whichever comes first. Makeups do not carry into another session.

Weather Closings

MAG does not automatically follow local school closings. Please look for an official MAG announcement before leaving home during questionable weather.

Evaluations & Placement

Advanced classes require instructor or coach placement. Advancement is based on readiness, strength, form and consistencyβ€”not only age or time spent in class.
